About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prospect, sell, price, and manage profitability for national key accounts
  • Develop sales and marketing strategies supporting new distribution using syndicated data (IRI/Nielsen)
  • Identify trends and opportunities and create customer sales-pitch presentations
  • Define pricing and promotional strategies, including demos, coupons, and sponsorships
  • Coordinate and promote products at customer and industry food shows
  • Coordinate product samples and tastings for key account buyer meetings
  • Open and secure new accounts and set up vendor forms and items in customer portals
  • Set delivery schedules to customer warehouses or coordinate with brokers, distributors, and Sigma DSD offices
  • Interact with replenishment buyers and maintain good service levels
  • Coordinate with internal supply chain teams to minimize customer disruptions
  • Prepare Excel and PowerPoint reports and scorecards; analyze information and forecast product demand
  • Co-responsible for Accounts Receivable
  • Collaborate with KAMs, Marketing, and Trade Marketing on business synergies and strategies
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate’s Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or three (3) years’ work-related experience
  • Three years’ experience in selling/account management in consumer goods
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Experience creating and analyzing Excel databases, graphs, pivot tables, and building compelling business presentations
  • SAP Knowledge
  • Detail-oriented, well-organized, and capable of prioritizing daily workload to complete multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization and present complex ideas concisely
  • Ability to build professional relationships with cross-functional teams
  • Willingness to learn and ability to flourish in a high-growth environment
  • Travel frequently up to 30-35% of the time
  • Able to try and sample a wide variety of food products (dairy/meats/nuts/sweets/others)
