About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Report to the Associate Director, Merchandising
- Forecast, buy and manage inventory for specific assortments across various business channels
- Manage newness and replenishment orders, upload and submit order information, and track order status
- Partner with Ecommerce and Sales & Licensing teams to optimize inventory position and assortment for sales goals and marketing/promotional initiatives
- Maintain and circulate selling and inventory recaps with action items
- Review daily selling and build sales forecasts across all business categories
- Provide weekly order recommendations for existing and new products and submit orders to relevant teams
- Review promotional events with Marketing, Public Relations and Sales teams to ensure inventory supports projected sales
- Manage OTB and produce weekly reporting evaluating inventory position against sales projections
- Recommend inventory optimizations
- Manage inventory transfer requests into and out of direct-to-consumer channels
- Coordinate orders and inventory levels for dropship opportunities
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4-5 years of experience in Merchandise Planning in retail
- Experience with multi category and item catalog of 500+ styles is a plus
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Strong analytical and retail math skills
- Advanced excel experience
- Attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, and meet required order deadlines
- Positive attitude and willingness to work cross-functionally with other teams across the business
- Proactive, creative and eager problem solver willing to analyze data and offer recommendations
- Experience with Power BI and NetSuite is a plus
- Residing anywhere in the United States
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Ability to work standard hours coinciding with 9:00 am - 6:00 pm EST
