About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead a sales region of 7–10 representatives across Acute Care and Outpatient Care markets
  • Develop and execute the regional business plan focused on key accounts and segments
  • Build and leverage channel networks to drive profitable territory and regional growth
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans aligned with corporate goals
  • Motivate the team and foster teamwork, time management, planning, and execution
  • Identify and meet with key customers and support representatives in building relationships
  • Develop and maintain a robust and balanced opportunity forecast
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to close large opportunities
  • Coach team members on deal and skill-based opportunities
  • Drive corporate connectivity strategy and deliver the integrated solutions platform
  • Manage distributors and channel partners throughout the region
  • Maintain knowledge of the local IDN market, medical industry landscape, and competition
  • Report to the Area VP of West Sales

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience as a top-level sales performer in the medical device or healthcare industry
  • 2+ years of sales leadership experience preferred
  • Knowledge of the Welch Allyn product line portfolio preferred
  • Proven experience hiring, developing, and managing the performance of a sales team
  • Strong background working with IDNs and demonstrated ability to build relationships
  • Exceptional written, verbal, interpersonal communication, and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills
  • Must live within the current geography or be willing to relocate to it
  • Familiarity with the posted region strongly desired
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 60% in the territory, with overnights as needed
