About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Represent Baxter and its advanced surgical products
  • Sell products used for hemostasis, sealing, and soft tissue repair across multiple surgical specialties
  • Drive new account sales development and expand sales in existing accounts
  • Manage current and future Advanced Surgery products within an established geographic territory
  • Establish and maintain relationships with surgeons, nurses, operating room staff, and hospital administration
  • Develop and implement local and regional sales strategies to defend and expand the product portfolio
  • Increase on-label usage through surgical-suite presence, in-servicing, educational presentations, heart labs, and value-added programs
  • Monitor product sales and collaborate with Territory Managers, Marketing, Customer Service, and Commercial Operations
  • Attend regional and local surgical conferences
  • Build relationships with key opinion leaders and cardiovascular surgeons
  • Provide feedback on product simplification and standardization
  • Lead quarterly Customer Business Reviews with hospital personnel, including operating room and supply chain leadership
  • Lead monthly discussions on sales trends with Advanced Surgery sales representatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience OR 8+ years of operating room sales experience
  • Experience with hospital-based selling in the operating room
  • Experience leading a large territory
  • Experience utilizing strategic selling methodologies to identify customer needs, influence stakeholders, and drive successful business outcomes
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to clearly articulate analysis, business cases, and strategic plans to diverse audiences
  • At least 50% travel required
  • Must live within the current geography or be willing to relocate to it
  • Familiarity with the posted territory strongly desired
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
