About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as a technical subject matter expert within the Operations Technology Transformation organization
Design and implement scalable data architectures and reliable data flows into the enterprise data warehouse
Design and manage cloud-based data platforms, database schemas, and data models
Assemble and manage large, complex datasets
Architect and implement ETL/ELT data pipelines from internal and external sources
Establish data models, integration patterns, and engineering best practices
Develop scalable, secure, and cost-efficient enterprise data solutions
Monitor and improve platform and pipeline performance, reliability, and scalability
Support analytics tools, operational reporting, performance measurement, and business intelligence initiatives
Develop and optimize SQL queries, views, stored procedures, and database objects
Implement query tuning and performance optimization strategies
Provide technical guidance to analytics team members
Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, analysts, and technology teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
Support delivery across development, testing, UAT, and production environments
Participate in solution design reviews, technical planning, and cross-functional initiatives
Diagnose and resolve pipeline failures, data quality issues, and performance bottlenecks
Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions
Conduct root cause analysis and drive continuous improvements

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Extensive experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or related technical roles
Strong experience designing and developing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines
Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure data services
Advanced SQL development skills, including query optimization, stored procedures, and performance tuning
Experience working with large-scale structured and unstructured datasets
Strong understanding of data modeling, database design, and data integration principles
Experience supporting analytics, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives
Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
