About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide field-level support to physicians, nurses, technicians, and other healthcare professionals
- Coordinate with field sales teams to plan and execute customer training and technical support for clinical cases
- Collaborate with sales management to prioritize customers, cases, and training events
- Support regional physician proctor development and training activities
- Conduct training and in-servicing for hospital surgery staff and support personnel
- Contribute to regional centers of excellence and physician training seminars
- Support regional marketing events, conventions, and symposia
- Maintain equipment, advertising, promotional materials, samples, brochures, and videos
- Complete paperwork, maintain accurate account records, and use goal-setting tools
- Manage selling time, targeting at least three operating room visits and four surgeon contacts per day
- Maintain product knowledge and educate hospitals through in-service training
- Manage product pricing, discounts, availability, and assigned expense budget
- Use selling presentations and standard objection responses to promote BD offerings
- Leverage lectures, seminars, hospital displays, and committee presentations to promote BD products
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree required
- 1+ years of general sales experience required
- Experience working in a team environment, particularly with sales teams
- Willingness to relocate to fill an open Territory Manager position
- Ability to travel extensively, including overnight travel (approximately 80% travel required)
- Possession and maintenance of a valid state-issued driver's license
- Adherence to BD's auto safety standard
