About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coordinate with field sales on the logistics, timing, duration, strategy, and execution of field-level customer training and technical support for clinical cases
- Work with sales management to prioritize targeted customers, cases, and training events
- Support the development of regional physician proctors for formal and informal training activities
- Conduct training and in-servicing for hospital surgery staff and support personnel
- Support the development of regional centers of excellence
- Work with Marketing on regional physician training seminars
- Provide support for regional marketing events, conventions, and symposia
- Perform special projects and other assigned duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree required
- 1-2 years general sales experience
- Experience working in a team environment, particularly with sales people
- Strong interpersonal, oral, communication, organizational and planning skills
- Good judgment and maturity
- Willing to relocate to fill an open Full Line Territory Manager position
- Ability to travel 80%
- Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued driver’s license with 3 years of consecutive driving history and meet BD’s auto safety standards
- Must possess and maintain a criminal background satisfactory to Bard
- Must meet and maintain customer/medical facility access requirements, including regular or periodic drug screenings with a satisfactory result
- Understanding of the needs/analysis approach to sales
- Understanding of the product buyer concept
- Understanding of contract administration
- Understanding of principles of group purchasing, including researching, formulating, and recommending proposals
- Basic anatomy knowledge
- Ability to discuss products in relation to the human body
- Familiarity with medical and surgical terminology
- Local candidates only; no relocation available for this position
