About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver excellent service experiences to customers
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams within Global Customer Support
  • Provide remote and on-site technical support for BD Pyxis automated dispensing systems in hospitals and healthcare facilities
  • Respond to, evaluate, and prioritize work orders
  • Diagnose, service, and resolve proprietary hardware and software issues
  • Maintain ownership of work orders and escalate issues to team leads and managers
  • Log, track, and document work order activity
  • Support all products within the region
  • Execute preventive maintenance programs
  • Provide limited support to Sales and Implementation teams
  • Perform installations, in-servicing, repairs, preventive maintenance, calibration, and sales support
  • Maintain accurate small-parts inventory and follow inventory-control procedures
  • Document field activity, expenses, time distribution, and other required information
  • Continue product and application training and self-development

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School diploma plus 3 years of related field service experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of combination Hardware/Software/IT experience supporting proprietary and standard applications
  • 24x7 on-call experience in a customer-facing/field service environment
  • Good mechanical, computer, verbal, written, and time management skills
  • Computer electronics, Windows OS, and network experience
  • Valid driver’s license and compliance with BD's auto safety standards
  • Current immunizations and additional facility-appropriate immunizations upon hire, including Hepatitis B, Influenza, MMR, Varicella, annual TB/PPD, Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis, and COVID-19
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 70 pounds
  • Preferred: Associate Degree in Healthcare Technology or another technical field
  • Preferred: Prior hospital pharmacy technician or hospital Bio-Med experience
  • Preferred: Prior military Bio-Med experience
  • Preferred: Prior Automated Teller Machine (ATM) experience
