About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage and execute export shipments from distribution centers on a timely manner for assigned regions
Team up with WW Business, Regions and Carriers to generate efficiencies and process improvements in transit duration
Communicate with customers and planners regarding order status, product availability, product information, credit status, and regulatory issues
Coordinate with supply chain, warehouses, traffic and other BD departments and locations to ensure timely shipments
Ensure export procedures/processes are utilized as designed by BD plants, 3PLs and logistics providers
Plan, coordinate, and optimize deliveries in SAP/TMS
Troubleshoot EDI transactions
Resolve discrepancies, mitigate risks, implement shipment-process improvements, and monitor GLPs on-time performance and daily KPI reports in SAP
Provide training to new Customer Service Representatives and Specialists
Act as a resource regarding policies, procedures, and customer, product and regulatory information
Assist with other accounts/territories and provide coverage during absences
Accept new assignments or assist in other areas or departments as required

Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, or a strong background in a related international/export role in lieu of education
Minimum of 6 years' experience in a similar role (export, logistics, transportation, customer service, etc.)
Prior experience in a related industry (medical device, pharmaceutical, FDA regulated)
Minimum of 6 years’ experience with ERP systems (SAP, ECC, GTS, JDE), EDI transactions, transportation/warehouse management systems
MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Certificate programs in International Logistics and Transportation, Export Operations, and global trade compliance certification a plus
APICS certification or Six Sigma a plus
