About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive the execution and coordination of one or more major projects critical to Distribution network optimization and operations strategy
  • Maintain the master project schedule and budget
  • Ensure robust communication between cross-functional, cross-site, and cross-region team members
  • Provide regular status reporting to key stakeholders and escalate off-cycle issues as required
  • Employ standard project management tools for organizational structure, project planning/scheduling, budgeting, and governance
  • Ensure routine team meetings and communications occur at required intervals
  • Prepare and use Monthly Dashboards, Annual Scorecards, Key Decision Documentation, Quarterly updates, cross-team/function updates, and workshops
  • Manage project risk assessments, mitigation plans, and problem-solving efforts
  • Direct project resources toward strategic plan development and implementation
  • Coordinate business process integration across project team locations
  • Address legal and regulatory project issues globally through appropriate team members and Waters employees
  • Track global product demand versus capacity versus project schedule and escalate to leadership
  • Own capital and expense budgets and address gaps and challenges to keep projects on track
  • Organize the ongoing technical transfer process for current and future phases
  • Lead and escalate issues to the Network Optimization Steering Committee and/or Global Operations Leadership
  • Ensure Change Management and Knowledge Transfer activities are planned and executed
  • Partner with the receiving Plant Manager to build the organization, budget, training, and other program requirements for successful startup
  • Facilitate communication between team members and lead resolution of team-specific issues

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree with a preferred focus business, science or engineering
  • Minimum 6 years of progressive supply chain operations leadership experience
  • Minimum 3 years experience managing projects within Distribution roles, or in dedicated Supply Chain or Distribution Project/Program Management roles in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, device, or diagnostic industry
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and drive change effectively in global business environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to influence without authority
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including presentation and meeting facilitation skills across all levels of the organization
  • Strong goal setting, and ability to work efficiently and effectively to meet tight timelines
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, prioritize, and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Effective analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills, including financial analyses and risk identification/mitigation
  • Ability to work effectively with different cultures
  • Demonstrated ability to promote teamwork and motivate and manage exempt level personnel
  • Strong inclination and passion for continuous improvement
  • Travel up to 50% of the time, both domestically and internationally
  • Flexible work schedule to support global business needs across multiple regions and time zones
  • MBA or master’s degree in science or engineering preferred
  • PMP certification preferred
