About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define, refine, and understand customer requirements and the customer environment
- Develop the product concept architecture
- Lead the creation and monitoring of the product/technology development plan, including budget, resources, and timelines
- Ensure the quality, reliability, and stability of the product/technology design
- Ensure that Design for Six Sigma and manufacturing processes are followed
- Develop innovative solutions to complex technical problems and protect BD intellectual property
- Synthesize and share technical test results and provide recommendations
- Participate in technical reviews with development and project management teams
- Provide work direction to team members or management
- Lead design reviews and escalate risks, issues, and concerns
Requirements
What you’ll need- Engineering degree with a broad technical focus, such as mechanical engineering, materials science, chemistry, or a related field
- Skills in problem-solving methodologies and/or statistical quality management
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work effectively in an international, cross-functional environment
- Good written and spoken English
