About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design and deliver sales educational programs to improve sales team performance
  • Work with sales, sales leadership, marketing, and stakeholders to identify challenges and recommend productivity improvements
  • Develop and implement sales readiness and training programs across the Advanced Diagnostic portfolio
  • Develop learning materials and structured curricula for new-hire sales associates
  • Address changing market conditions through targeted educational initiatives
  • Conduct skills gap analyses and evaluate outcomes after training engagements
  • Facilitate onboarding product training using adult learning principles
  • Create instructor-led, distance learning, video, web-based, and other curricula and content
  • Travel with new and in-role sales associates to provide coaching and improve sales performance
  • Develop and implement advanced sales training for tenured sales personnel and field sales managers
  • Develop new-product launch training with Sales Enablement, Marketing, and Product Management
  • Collaborate with sales management, marketing, sales enablement, and field sales training to align curricula with the fiscal year Sales Marketing Action Plan
  • Assess talent, identify improvement areas, and create targeted training
  • Measure training effectiveness using data, KPIs, and performance metrics
  • Track and maintain associates’ training scorecards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3+ years of professional training experience, field sales training, training management, and familiarity with influencing stakeholders in a matrix organization required
  • 3+ years of medical sales experience required
  • 5+ years of successful professional development experience with demonstrated results required
  • Diagnostic microbiology and molecular laboratory capital or consumable sales experience strongly preferred
  • Experience in direct sales roles, typically 3–5 years
  • Deep understanding of sales processes, techniques, and strategies
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms, such as Salesforce
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning tools
  • Knowledge of instructional design and adult learning principles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation and public speaking abilities
  • One-on-one coaching and mentoring skills
  • Ability to assess training effectiveness using KPIs and performance metrics
  • Strong time management and multitasking abilities
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills required
  • Ability to handle and drive multiple projects, manage change, and work with cross-functional teams while setting clear expectations
  • Ability/willingness to travel up to 70% to the home office, in the field, and required meetings
  • Position to be located near a major airport in the Central or West time zones
