About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage a territory base and expand sales of BD Targeted Temperature Management products
  • Attain company-established sales goals within the designated territory budget
  • Grow sales in current accounts and establish new key accounts
  • Drive sales revenue to exceed division priorities and develop new business opportunities
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with physicians, nurses, technicians, materials management, hospital management, BioMed departments, and executive hospital personnel
  • Conduct frequent customer visits, product demonstrations, product in-services, customer education, and procedural observations
  • Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual plans to meet revenue targets
  • Maintain clinical knowledge within relevant disease states and expertise in territory management and selling skills
  • Deliver sales training to inside and field sales employees and channel partners as requested
  • Present sales modules, workshops, and training curriculum at new-hire classes and sales meetings
  • Control expenses within territory budgets
  • Maintain communication with sales teams, customer service, sales management, and home-office staff
  • Complete call reports, monthly results reports, administrative duties, and assigned projects
  • Maintain accurate customer and account files
  • Attend and represent BD at local, regional, and national medical conferences
  • Work closely with a Clinical Manager supporting the same accounts and outcomes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BS/BS with 5+ years of sales experience with demonstrated sales success
  • Graduate degree preferred
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued driver's license
  • Must meet BD's auto safety standards
  • Experience calling upon and being comfortable in hospital, office, and clinical Critical Care settings
  • Strong clinical excellence and current knowledge of products, programs, TTM solutions, and competitive landscape
  • Ability to manage challenging situations quickly, directly, and decisively
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and expeditiously
  • Ability to manage territory budgets and resources according to BD guidelines and policies
  • Ability to maintain compliance with BD Quality Policy and documented quality processes and procedures
  • Frequent travel within the territory is required
