About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Update the Bank’s loan portfolio by processing service requests and annual reviews throughout the loan life cycle
  • Analyze and recommend complex and advanced service requests
  • Support the Business Development team in developing efficient solutions for client requests while adhering to Bank policies and directives
  • Follow up on outstanding file issues and ensure forms, information, conditions, and signatures are accurate and complete
  • Validate portfolio profitability by monitoring client borrowing activities and identifying financing or consulting opportunities
  • Review financial statements, complete financial analyses, and evaluate risk ratings
  • Address potential risks including arrears, risk deterioration, and declining financial results
  • Evaluate high and advanced risk requests and develop proactive solutions to restructure agreements, minimize risk, and mitigate losses
  • Authorize, decline, or recommend services within established parameters
  • Ensure high-calibre analysis and due diligence for loan amendments and service requests
  • Maintain relationships with business centre personnel and colleagues
  • Coach, mentor, and share experience with team members
  • Monitor regional economic trends and their potential impact on clients
  • Monitor changes to policies, procedures, processes, credit issues, and regulatory issues affecting the Bank

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Business Administration
  • Three to five years’ experience as an account manager in the banking sector
  • In-depth knowledge of banking products, services, policies, processes, and procedures
  • Ability to analyze complex financial structures
  • Ability to identify and solve problems pro-actively with good judgment
  • Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to a changing environment
  • Good time management skills and ability to set priorities to meet tight deadlines
  • Cooperative attitude
  • Bilingualism is an asset
