About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Supervise and coordinate teams of staff to ensure the quality of audit work and client satisfaction
  • Lead a diverse range of engagements for French and international clients
  • Primarily conduct statutory audit engagements
  • Conduct contractual engagements, including contribution audits, capital transactions, acquisition audits, and SACC engagements
  • Assess internal controls and the IT environment
  • Perform impairment assessments and testing
  • Provide technical consultations
  • Apply ISA standards and international accounting standards, including IFRS and US GAAP
  • Handle ESG data
  • Supervise the work performed by BDO network auditors internationally
  • Participate in the Audit Rhône-Alpes department’s working groups
  • Monitor staff training and career development paths
  • Test and support the implementation of new processes and innovative work tools
  • Contribute to the quality assurance framework and disseminate best practices
  • Develop new IT, CSRD, and sector-specific skills
  • Assist partners with business development and commercial management
  • Participate in tender processes and contribute to the preparation of business presentation materials

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master’s degree (five years of higher education) in finance, audit, or accounting
  • Approximately 10 years of experience in an audit or accounting firm
  • Experience managing a team of several staff members
  • Professional fluency in English required
  • Strong knowledge of auditing standards
  • Strong knowledge of ISA 600 (Revised), relating to group audits and audits of consolidated financial statements
  • Eagerness to learn and adopt new IT tools
  • Excellent listening, organizational, and teaching skills
