About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Conduct comprehensive diagnostics of finance departments, covering processes, organization, tools, and capabilities
Identify optimization opportunities and formulate actionable, prioritized recommendations
Support clients in structuring or redesigning their Finance function
Develop budget scenarios, model financial impacts, and monitor the execution of transformation plans
Safeguard the financial trajectory of projects and support decision-making
Design and implement reporting and performance management tools, primarily in Excel
Automate and enhance the reliability of reporting
Train teams and ensure adoption of the tools
Undertake short-term interim management assignments in Finance Director or Financial Controller roles
Ensure continuity of financial operations and manage existing teams
Prepare the transition to the future role holder or a new organizational structure
Support the finance departments of SMEs and mid-sized companies in France and internationally, from strategic planning through operational implementation

Requirements

What you’ll need

3 to 6 years of experience in financial consulting (Finance Transformation, Transaction Services, or financial audit) and/or in interim management or financial performance management environments
Experience supporting finance departments, ideally in SMEs and mid-sized companies, in demanding environments such as LBOs, structuring, transformation, or implementation projects
Advanced expertise in financial modeling and data analysis
Strong experience building ad hoc reporting, monthly budgets, analytical P&Ls, cash flow forecasts, cash flow statements, and cash flow plans
Skills in financial diagnostics, working capital optimization, and risk analysis
Understanding of financial processes and accounting standards
Advanced Excel skills
Proficiency in Power Query, Power Pivot, and VBA
Familiarity with Power BI, Knime, Jedox, or Qlik Sense
Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder, multisite, and/or international projects
Ability to structure governance, manage budgets, and lead project steering committees
Professional proficiency in English
