About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide professional, empathetic, and effective phone support to patients, customers, and other stakeholders
- Provide equipment coverage, troubleshooting, and patient assistance before and after overnight studies
- Answer questions about services, scheduling, testing, and next steps
- Document patient and customer interactions, actions taken, and follow-up needs
- Make and monitor manual outbound calls
- Monitor and complete test scheduling and return calls
- Schedule and coordinate patient testing and accurately document appointments and study information
- Complete assigned daily tasks within established timeframes
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with company procedures and HIPAA requirements
- Protect the confidentiality and integrity of Protected Health Information (PHI)
- Identify and escalate issues appropriately
- Work cross-functionally across DX teams to resolve issues and support operational goals
- Communicate patient and customer information accurately and promptly to internal teams
- Own assigned work and follow through on commitments
- Adapt to changing priorities and contribute to process improvements
- Support team coverage and assist teammates as needed
- Follow established workflows, policies, procedures, and quality standards
- Maintain a positive, collaborative, and patient-focused approach
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years of experience in a sleep center, clinical/technical support, or other customer/patient-facing environment required
- Experience communicating directly with patients or customers by phone
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience documenting patient or customer interactions accurately and maintaining detailed records
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to handle confidential information and Protected Health Information (PHI) in accordance with HIPAA requirements
- Comfortable learning new technology, systems, and workflows
- Demonstrated reliability, accountability, and ownership
- Patient-first mindset with empathy and professionalism
- Collaborative approach and willingness to support teammates
- Curiosity, adaptability, continuous learning mindset, and proactive self-service approach
- RPSGT or CCSH certification preferred
