About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver a seamless and high-quality member experience
  • Identify, diagnose, and address members’ consumer financial needs
  • Refer members to specialized services when necessary
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in specialized financial services
  • Resolve members’ needs and provide expertise
  • Utilize product knowledge to provide customer service and sales across business services, consumer lending, deposit servicing, IRA, POA, and Fiduciary accounts
  • Sign line and loan documents originating through the outbound/inbound call center
  • Assist the community with financial wellness, including financial education, budgeting, debt management, and access to financial planning resources
  • Work across all POD branches for up to the first year or more based on business needs
  • Complete 12-week Monday–Friday in-house training with travel to the Tukwila Financial Center
  • Adapt to varying schedules and branch assignments
  • Work variable Monday–Friday shifts between 8:00 AM and 6:30 PM, with up to 3 Saturdays per month from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent related experience
  • Minimum two years of experience in a sales-oriented, financial, or retail environment
  • One year of experience in a financial institution
  • Spanish language fluency highly desirable
  • Thorough understanding of the sales process and ability to manage a sales pipeline efficiently
  • Strong proficiency and comfort level with learning new systems and programs; ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously
  • Ability to successfully complete 12-week in-house training program after hire
  • Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of Credit Union key objectives, product and service solutions
  • Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to membership, deposit, and loan products and services offered
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills to enable daily communication with Members
  • Problem resolution, negotiating, organization, multi-tasking and peer coaching skills
  • Ability to work flexible shifts
  • Ability to commute between branches and the Tukwila Financial Center training location
