About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own full-cycle recruiting, including resume review, initial phone interviews, candidate communication and follow-up, feedback sessions, offers, and candidate closing
  • Build and maintain relationships with target universities, faculty, professors, administration, and student organizations
  • Apply industry trends, best practices, and early-career recruitment techniques to improve campus recruitment
  • Establish and design tailored recruiting approaches for designated schools with the Early Talent leadership team
  • Provide innovative ways to build Belk’s brand, attract candidates, and achieve early-talent hiring goals
  • Plan, coordinate, and participate in events at assigned universities
  • Partner with the early talent team, HRBPs, Campus Champions, and business leaders
  • Deliver results against campus benchmark metrics and support overall recruiting strategy
  • Coordinate and execute early-talent programs, including curriculum planning, leader engagement, developmental sessions, and social activities
  • Support and manage social media campaigns promoting Belk’s brand and program experience

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration or a related field
  • 1+ years of experience in Campus Recruiting and Program Management
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Problem-solving and event-planning skills
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing recruitment and program needs
  • High energy and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with business leaders, college career services contacts, professors, and student organizations
  • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (Workday preferred)
  • Maintains high level of professionalism in all interactions and represents the company positively
  • Able to travel up to 75% during peak seasons (Fall and Spring semester)
  • Able to work outside normal working hours for recruitment and program events, as needed
