About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead a team of front-end engineers building and enhancing the e-commerce platform user interface
Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and strategic direction
Oversee end-to-end delivery of front-end projects from concept through deployment
Generate work estimates and collaborate on priorities, budgets, and timelines with the Project Manager
Remove team impediments and ensure the team has the correct skill sets
Guide front-end architecture and design using Next.js and React best practices
Lead Agile/Scrum ceremonies and facilitate sprint planning
Collaborate with Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, and engineering leaders on the front-end roadmap
Manage customer-facing analytics and marketing tags using Tealium Tag Management
Conduct design and code reviews and ensure high-quality code
Define, document, and complete enhancements and defect remediation
Coordinate quality assurance testing and manage small projects
Define, prioritize, and initiate technology projects
Schedule resource capacity against project demand and provide project start and milestone dates
Develop business cases and provide project estimates
Communicate with IT executives and stakeholders
Coordinate cross-functional teams and collaborate with the PMO on complex projects
Monitor and control project scope, budget, timeline, risks, issues, resources, revenue, expenses, and capital costs
Complete administrative tasks including time, invoice, and user access approval
Build relationships among IT, business users, and internal/external service providers
Communicate technical, Shared Services, and third-party issues to senior stakeholders
Assign internal project resources
Coach and manage engineers, support professional growth, advise on career paths, set performance targets, and monitor workloads
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems
Experience managing projects utilizing Agile methodology
10+ years experience with development and delivery of solutions
Experience managing and leading an IT team
Experience developing and managing operational and project-related budgets
Experience managing IT projects and project teams utilizing industry-standard SDLC methodologies
Retail industry experience
Knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks, particularly React and Next.js
Experience with VSCode, Bitbucket, JIRA, Confluence, and Harness
Experience with Vercel or similar frontend deployment platforms
Familiarity with tag management solutions and content management systems
Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+)
Required Portfolio Management Professional (PMP) certification upon hire
Required CAPM - Certified Associate in Project Management certification upon hire
Ability to comply with all policies and standards
