About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Bring Benchling’s Decision Support AI offering to market as the first dedicated hire
  • Own outbound sales pitches and product demos
  • Influence the go-to-market motion end to end
  • Run outbound outreach to customer directors and vice presidents for new AI offerings
  • Deliver initial product demos to prospects and lead workshops
  • Iterate on messaging and create sales collateral, including decks, one-pagers, and talk tracks
  • Act as the internal early adopter for new AI go-to-market motions
  • Test, refine, and roll out GTM motions to the broader field team
  • Independently run outbound and demos within the first six months
  • Develop an AI GTM playbook, workshop format, pilot structure, or similar approach for use across many customers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2+ years in a customer-facing role, such as sales, solutions consulting, or similar
  • Comfort presenting to executives and running a room
  • Bias toward action in ambiguity
  • Ability to work on a newly developing AI offering and GTM role
  • Ability to work from the San Francisco office Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday
  • U.S. work authorization status required for application
  • Ability to discuss current AI tools and how they are used
