About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the enterprise applications portfolio and architecture
  • Set target-state SaaS portfolio, integration standards, and data-flow patterns
  • Govern platform selection, rationalization, and lifecycle decisions
  • Lead high-visibility quote-to-cash, pricing and packaging, and consumption billing programs
  • Assess programs, shape outcomes, and provide guidance on delivery timelines
  • Automate configuration, change management, testing, release, access review, and ticket triage
  • Set targets, measure throughput and quality per person, and report results
  • Apply AI to team workflows and enterprise application platforms in partnership with AI and Data Engineering
  • Expand self-service through documentation, guardrails, request patterns, and in-product help
  • Design and operate IT general controls for financial-data platforms
  • Partner with Finance, Internal Audit, and Trust and Compliance on controls and audit readiness
  • Develop existing staff and hire against capability gaps
  • Manage the full-time and contractor mix
  • Partner with Finance, RevOps, Sales, CX, People, and Legal leaders on roadmap and process changes
  • Report to the CIO/CISO within the Engineering organization

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10+ years in enterprise or business applications
  • 5+ years leading teams in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Experience managing managers and owning a budget
  • Experience owning a multi-platform SaaS portfolio spanning CRM, ERP, HRIS, and integrations
  • Deep Salesforce experience, including quote-to-cash and CPQ/RevCloud
  • Hands-on familiarity with Workato, MuleSoft, Boomi, or Tray
  • Track record of measurable automation outcomes
  • Practical experience applying AI to enterprise application work
  • Experience building internal self-service that reduced request volume
  • Experience designing and operating SOX IT general controls across core financial systems
  • Experience running access reviews and change management to auditable standards
  • Experience automating evidence collection and working with internal and external auditors
  • Experience taking over and stabilizing programs mid-flight
  • Strong vendor management, including contract negotiation, renewal strategy, and portfolio rationalization
  • Clear written communication with non-technical audiences
  • Curiosity about life science
  • NetSuite, Certinia, or Workday ownership is nice to have
  • Experience with Snowflake, Salesforce Data Cloud, or an analytics platform is nice to have
  • Experience managing a distributed contractor or partner bench is nice to have
