About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Set product direction for Schemas and ship toward it incrementally
Balance fast prototyping with the platform stability required by admins and developers
Track customer usage of Schemas and identify areas where it delights or fails
Build personas and jobs-to-be-done context for admins, scientists, computational teams, and internal and external developers
Bring customer context and underlying needs to Engineering and Design
Partner with Engineering and Design to ship new capabilities
Champion structured, well-modeled data as the foundation for AI value
Anticipate future needs of schema consumers
Partner with Customer Experience, Field, Sales, and Marketing to incorporate customer signals into the roadmap
Collaborate with Platform and Apps Product Managers on sequencing and shared abstractions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience designing, owning, or significantly evolving a data-modeling, schema, or configuration system used by external developers or technical admins
Energized by platform work and systems thinking
Comfortable building the right abstraction ahead of need
Deep, demonstrated discovery practice, including building personas and JTBD frameworks from scratch
Track record balancing long-term vision with incremental shipping
Strong communication across technical and executive audiences
B2B SaaS or developer-platform background preferred
Genuine curiosity about the science behind the data
Ability to work on-site Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday
U.S. work authorization status required
Must complete a brief AI-focused exercise or discussion during the interview process
