About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the overall performance, growth, profitability, and culture of Naturesave
- Deliver strategic objectives and maintain market leadership in sustainable and renewable energy insurance
- Develop and execute business plans driving growth, retention, and long-term profitability
- Identify opportunities in existing and emerging markets
- Build relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders
- Champion exceptional client outcomes and service excellence
- Lead, develop, and inspire high-performing teams
- Create a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Hold Senior Management Function (SMF) accountability for Naturesave
- Ensure robust governance, regulatory compliance, effective risk management, and positive client outcomes in line with FCA requirements
- Work closely with senior stakeholders across the Benefact Group
Requirements
What you’ll need- Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Diploma in Insurance (or equivalent professional insurance qualification)
- Significant senior leadership experience within the UK insurance market
- Proven track record of delivering commercial growth and business performance
- Strong commercial acumen
- Experience developing and implementing strategic plans
- Experience managing budgets
- Experience driving operational excellence
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship building skills
- Ability to influence and collaborate across internal and external partners
- Comprehensive understanding of FCA regulation, Consumer Duty, and other insurance-sector legislative and regulatory requirements
- Chartered status or advanced professional insurance qualifications is advantageous
- Experience in specialist insurance markets, particularly renewable energy, environmental, or sustainability-focused sectors is advantageous
- Strategic and innovative mindset
- Track record of developing high-performing teams and creating positive organisational cultures
- Passion for purpose-led business and positive environmental impact
