About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the overall performance, growth, profitability and culture of Community Broking across the South Wales region
- Develop and deliver the regional strategy and three-year business plan
- Ensure alignment with wider business objectives
- Provide visible leadership and support to Heads of Community Broking (Branch Leaders)
- Build high-performing teams and drive accountability
- Act as a key stakeholder across the business
- Ensure exceptional customer outcomes and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Hold Senior Management Function accountability for the South Wales Region
- Ensure robust governance, regulatory compliance, effective risk management and positive client outcomes in line with FCA requirements
- Regularly visit and be based within offices in Swansea, Llanelli, Cardiff and St Clears
Requirements
What you’ll need- Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Diploma in Insurance (or equivalent professional insurance qualification)
- Significant senior leadership experience within the UK insurance market
- Strong understanding of regional and national market dynamics
- Recognised expertise and a strong network within the UK, South West and Wales regional insurance market
- Proven success in delivering strategic growth, financial performance and operational excellence across multiple locations or business units
- Strong commercial acumen
- Ability to develop and execute business strategies that deliver sustainable results
- Comprehensive knowledge of FCA regulation, Consumer Duty and other legislative requirements relevant to the insurance sector
- Chartered Insurance Institute Advanced Diploma in Insurance is advantageous
