About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Execute the newsletter program as a high-performing media channel, optimizing sponsored placements and commissionable offers
- Advise Ad Sales and Merchant teams on inventory, placement, and campaign best practices
- Report program and placement performance to partners and leadership using defensible metrics
- Own execution and performance of every campaign and translate results into best-practice guidance
- Propose and execute the global 22-market newsletter strategy and roadmap
- Create market-by-market campaign and inventory calendars
- Oversee campaigns from planning through send and post-send analysis
- Build, QA, schedule, and deploy newsletter and email campaigns in the ESP
- Manage dynamic offer placement and segment/client targeting and suppression
- Develop mobile-first templates and run ongoing A/B testing
- Own inbox placement, sender reputation, and deliverability across sending domains and markets
- Manage IP/domain warm-up, authentication, list hygiene, audience data quality, and feedback loops
- Serve as internal expert on deliverability and mailbox-provider requirements
- Design and run activation, welcome, re-engagement, and win-back journeys
- Own audience segmentation and personalization by market, client, and member behavior
- Manage product marketing and go-to-market sends for BenefitHub products and verticals
- Define and track performance, engagement, deliverability, and lifecycle KPIs
- Lead performance updates to marketing leadership, the executive team, and the broader company
- Ensure advertiser- and partner-facing metrics are accurate and account for invalid traffic
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of email marketers and specialists
- Improve intake, QA, approvals, and reporting processes
- Manage ESP, CDP, and deliverability-tool vendor relationships
- Support ESP strategy, capability evaluation, and platform migration
- Ensure compliance with CAN-SPAM, CASL, GDPR, and consent/subscription/preference requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- 9+ years of hands-on email, CRM, or lifecycle marketing in a high-volume program
- Experience monetizing a newsletter or email audience through sponsored placements and/or commissionable/affiliate revenue
- Deep, hands-on expertise in email deliverability, compliance, and reputation management
- Experience with IP/domain warmup, SPF/DKIM/DMARC, list hygiene, and mailbox-provider relations
- Hands-on mastery of a major enterprise ESP and CDP / marketing-automation stack; current stack includes Iterable and Lytics
- Experience with segmentation, dynamic content, automation, lifecycle journeys, behavioral targeting, and reporting
- Proven success managing and developing a high-performing team
- Strong command of segmentation, personalization, automation workflows, triggered campaigns, and A/B testing methodologies
- Advanced knowledge of marketing analytics, attribution modeling, and performance measurement
- Experience building KPIs and dashboards and translating performance data into insights
- Judgment to distinguish genuine engagement from invalid traffic
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- Preferred: background at an ecommerce, marketplace, perks/benefits, affiliate, deals, or media/ad-monetization company
- Preferred: understanding of the HR, benefits, and employee-engagement landscape
- Preferred: experience with multi-tenant programs, product-marketing/GTM email, global multi-market programs, and evaluating or migrating ESPs
