About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans for the architectural and design segment under the Area Sales Manager
  • Identify and nurture high-value architectural and design accounts
  • Focus on high-end residential opportunities to maximize growth and strengthen client relationships
  • Prospect and engage architects, designers, and specifiers to promote Benjamin Moore products
  • Qualify and manage leads to secure paint schedules and specifications
  • Build expertise in the Benjamin Moore brand, product portfolio, and color offerings
  • Educate architects and designers through presentations, continuing education courses, and meetings
  • Provide paint expertise and support throughout the project lifecycle
  • Write and review paint schedules and specifications
  • Support retailers through A&D-aligned initiatives, color consultant engagement, and presentations
  • Monitor project opportunities, schedules, specifications, and timelines
  • Coordinate follow-up between clients, Territory Representatives, and painters
  • Conduct job site visits to assess needs and support implementation
  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities
  • Produce local events to promote brand awareness and showcase products and services
  • Engage design schools and emerging talent
  • Track industry trends, competitors, and developments
  • Analyze market reports and identify business growth opportunities
  • Use marketing materials and collaborate with the A&D Marketing Manager
  • Prioritize in-person meetings and client engagement
  • Maintain feedback with the A&D HQ team
  • Submit accurate weekly reports and documentation in CRM

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years’ experience working directly with the A&D segment
  • Prior experience developing and executing account plans to increase sales
  • High sales aptitude with a self-driven and results-oriented mindset
  • Ability to understand and communicate the Benjamin Moore brand value proposition to the A&D segment
  • Demonstrated experience writing and self-sourcing specifications and finish schedules while managing the project lifecycle through install
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, listening, and public speaking skills
  • Strong motivational abilities with the capacity to inspire and guide others
  • Proven time management and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent team collaboration skills
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Ability to travel overnight for meetings, conferences, and trade shows
  • Must reside in the desired geography or be willing to relocate
