About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Monitor incoming container quality and container supply for uninterrupted filling-line operation
Calibrate and operate automatic filling machines
Check batch tickets for correct products, monitor weights and container appearance, and retain samples for the control lab
Ensure lids are supplied, correctly sealed, and legible
Ensure correct labels and adhesive are available and monitor label and container quality
Maintain proper operation and make minor adjustments to the bail-o-matic machine
Ensure cartons and tape are supplied and verify carton information
Supply empty pallets and offload full pallets as appropriate
Accurately count fills and enter inventory data into electronic information systems
Maintain forklifts and related equipment, including battery and electrical checks
Follow safety, environmental, and regulatory guidelines and use required safety equipment
Maintain cleanliness and quality of the work area and equipment
Collaborate with the facility team and departments while reporting directly to the department Lead
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School degree or equivalent required
Basic math skills, including addition and subtraction
Ability to work in a team environment and work cross-functionally
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and cleanliness
Ability to use company software and computer system programs
Good interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work safely and follow SOPs
Ability to work overtime, up to 4 hours past the regularly scheduled shift, and weekends when required
Ability to operate fill-by-weight machine, video jet, labeler, palletizer, case packer, can and carton computer, and depalletizer
Ability to operate the tower independently
Ability to operate a gallon line and quart line independently
Ability to operate a gallon line casepacker and five line independently
Ability to operate a gallon line and a small batch
Ability to work around environmental factors and exposure throughout the shift
Ability to use forklift, winch, and trolley system
Ability to run the filling line and package goods for up to 8 hours per day
