About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Collaborate with the Regulatory Team in interpreting global regulations
- Assist internal and external stakeholders with regulatory compliance
- Support new product development and evaluation
- Generate Hazard Communication documents
- Prepare and review Safety Data Sheets and Product Labels
- Ensure product safety and regulatory compliance for paints and coatings in North America
- Monitor changes to regulatory requirements, including VOC regulations for the US and Canada
- Share regulatory requirement information with team members
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide a regulatory perspective for ongoing and upcoming initiatives
- Represent Benjamin Moore in industry groups such as ACA
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Science in Chemistry, Biology, Occupational or Public Health and Safety, Toxicology, Environmental Science, or a related field is required
- 3+ years of experience in Regulatory Affairs, Product Safety, Product Compliance, or EHS
- Strong knowledge of Global Harmonized System (GHS)
- Knowledge of domestic and international chemical regulatory compliance
- Experience in SDS & Label generation
- Hands-on experience with regulatory compliance software
- Working knowledge of Transport Classification Regulations (US and Canada) is desirable
- Knowledge of paint or chemical processing is desirable
- Ability to adapt to a fast-changing regulatory environment
- Demonstrated ability to work and collaborate in a team environment
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in typical Office software
