About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Research corporate affiliations of clients and parties using Capital IQ, Hoover's/D&B, and the internet
- Perform routine conflicts-of-interest searches in Intapp, including identifying and validating party information, determining Boolean search criteria, running searches, and analyzing results
- Verify conflicts reports for completeness, consistency, accuracy, and compliance with General Counsel's Office standards and procedures
- Assist and respond to the legal team and conflicts manager
- Maintain Intapp data by updating client/matter name changes and adding parties to existing matters
- Uphold standards for accuracy, quality, and thoroughness in searches and analyses
- Handle urgent and confidential matters, including evenings and weekends
- Contribute to process, procedure, and technology improvements
- Maintain and update the conflicts database
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree is required
- One to three years of experience in risk management, research, reference library work, conflict searching, or related experience is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Intapp, Elite, Hoover's/D&B, research software and iManage
- Strict attention to detail and excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to complete tasks, resolve issues, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to interact with people at all levels with accuracy, confidentiality, poise, and professionalism
- Strong understanding of conflicts-of-interest and business intake procedures in a law firm or professional services environment is preferred
- Must be able to submit verification of legal right to work in the United States without company sponsorship
