About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage accounting records and ensure accurate bookkeeping and financial reporting
Handle taxation matters, including VAT compliance, statutory filings, and communication with local authorities
Monitor cash flow and follow up on accounts receivable
Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, debtors, and creditors
Liaise with internal and external auditors and support audit requirements
Assist in the implementation of projects, process improvements, and operational initiatives
Support management in achieving company objectives and maintaining compliance with policies and procedures
Identify operational issues and recommend improvements for the Accounts Department
Maintain and accurately update the office’s accounting records and the Company’s general ledger
Provide management with timely and accurate financial information regarding the office’s financial activities

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent qualification
3–5 years’ experience in an accounts-related environment
Experience in the shipping and catering industry will be considered as an advantage
Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems
Attention to detail
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Knowledge of accounting software
Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Strong Excel handling capability will be considered an advantage
Fluency in English
PC literacy
