About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coordinate and manage quarterly and ad hoc medical supply requirements received from vessels
- Review medical requisitions and select appropriate medicines and medical consumables for procurement
- Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations based on pricing, availability, specifications, delivery schedules, and commercial terms
- Prepare purchase orders in accordance with procurement policies and requirements
- Monitor procurement activities from order placement through delivery, ensuring timely and accurate supply of medical items onboard
- Liaise with suppliers, vessels, and relevant stakeholders to resolve procurement and delivery-related matters
- Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure proper documentation and audit compliance
- Complete goods receipt processes following confirmation of delivery
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) preferred, or Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline
- Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or a related field
- Sound knowledge of purchasing and procurement processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Excellent stakeholder management and coordination abilities
- Good negotiation skills and commercial awareness
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and procurement-related systems
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
