About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee and manage daily IT support operations, including the help desk and company-wide communications
  • Supervise IT support staff, including coaching, training, performance feedback, hiring, scheduling, and team development
  • Serve as the primary IT contact for Berry Companies' divisions, proactively communicating and resolving escalations
  • Coordinate rollouts of system updates, upgrades, and new technology solutions with minimal business disruption
  • Develop, execute, and maintain long-term technology strategy, including disaster recovery and business continuity plans
  • Establish and administer IT support policies, procedures, and service standards
  • Monitor tickets and response times to identify improvement opportunities
  • Research and select IT equipment and applications and manage vendor relationships
  • Partner with leadership to develop IT department budgets
  • Monitor cybersecurity risks and support company-wide cybersecurity compliance
  • Design and deliver company-wide systems and technology training and maintain IT documentation
  • Report progress, risks, and opportunities to senior management
  • Continuously improve IT support delivery and department certifications and skills
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a business-related field required; equivalent experience considered
  • Minimum 3–5 years of progressive IT experience, including supervisory or team-lead experience
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, CompTIA A+, Cisco Certified Network Associate) a plus
  • Working knowledge of network infrastructure, including routing/switching, wireless access points, data backup and disaster recovery, and physical and virtualized deployments across remote sites
  • Demonstrated ability to build a culture of responsible security
  • Working knowledge of endpoint and network traffic monitoring, email/threat filtering, multi-factor authentication, and employee security-awareness training
  • Knowledge of PCI-DSS compliance and support for SOC1 readiness
  • Ability to work flexible early, late, and weekend hours when required
  • Occasional travel for training and division operational needs
  • Ability to access, input, and process information using a computer throughout the day
  • Ability to work with occasional exposure to shop/manufacturing environments
  • Occasionally lift/carry up to 10 pounds or push/pull small objects
  • Ability to operate automated office machines on a repetitive basis
