About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide healthcare IT and management consulting services focused on EHR systems, strategy, and process improvement
  • Facilitate meetings with client leadership teams, departments, project teams, and stakeholders
  • Present information, findings, and recommendations to leadership teams and client leaders
  • Lead and support client projects on time and within budget
  • Assign and manage staff and create work products
  • Develop written client deliverables, reports, and presentations
  • Work with providers, nurses, and clinicians on EHR initiatives and healthcare technology projects
  • Engage with senior leadership to bring about organizational change
  • Collaborate with clinical, financial, operational, and IT departments
  • Determine and document user requirements for business processes
  • Provide expertise in EHR technology, telehealth, remote monitoring, and emergency management systems
  • Navigate and document decision-making processes within established governance structures
  • Provide continuous process improvement and change management
  • Support service expansion and sales opportunities through networking, scope and budget design, and meetings with prospective clients

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in Technology, Business, or Healthcare
  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading enterprise-wide healthcare IT systems projects or implementations
  • Experience communicating with executive leadership teams within healthcare organizations
  • Experience meeting with stakeholders to formulate, review, and execute task plans and deliverables
  • Knowledge of EHR vendor solutions required, specifically MEDITECH MaaS and Expanse, Oracle CommunityWorks (formerly Cerner), or Epic
  • Excellent leadership, facilitation, and communication skills
  • Experience with healthcare settings including rural health, hospitals, post-acute, and other settings
  • Understanding of clinical, operational, and financial healthcare workflows
  • Ability to navigate and lead through uncertainty, imperfect information, and complex organizational dynamics
  • Adaptability to work on a range of tasks
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work onsite at client sites and travel, with up to 50% travel possible for future projects and potentially greater travel for the first project
