About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Analyze chargeback claims and investigate complex transaction data
Evaluate sales receipts, shipping documentation, and customer communications to assess financial recovery opportunities
Gather documentation and submit formal representment evidence through card network platforms
Work cross-functionally to confirm internal technical and operational procedures and hold credit card issuers accountable to industry rules and regulations
Identify risks or opportunities, track chargeback metrics and trends, recommend process improvements, and escalate as necessary
Perform PayPal method-of-payment reconciliations and manage the PayPal chargeback process
Reconcile chargeback transactions and prepare and post journal entries for chargeback write-offs
Complete accounts receivable operations tasks related to Best Buy warranty programs

Requirements

What you’ll need

2–3 years of experience in accounting, banking, or financial services in a mid- to large-sized organization
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity with SQL
Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to investigate complex transactional issues
Effective communication, presentation, and organizational skills
Ability to manage competing priorities and consistently deliver accurate, high-quality work within established business and card-network timelines
A post-secondary degree in accounting, business, or a related field is preferred
