About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work with stakeholders to model and analyse functional business requirements for required software components while following SDLC and best practices
Participate in the software development process from design to release, including designing, documenting, testing, developing solutions, code review and peer design activities
Write reusable, testable and efficient code
Design and implement low-latency, high-availability and performant applications
Implement security and data protection
Integrate data storage solutions
Help implement key organizational controls for AWS
Provide cloud technical leadership for complex, cross-company projects delivering cloud foundational capabilities
Foster a self-service mindset across the business, enabling verticals to manage their own infrastructure
Deliver projects within deadlines with high confidence and quality, and be accountable for implemented changes
Research, produce POCs and evaluate methodologies and technologies that improve quality, reliability, scalability, security and performance
Help Architects and Technical Leads perform system and gap analysis and define functional and non-functional requirements
Mentor and guide other developers through quality coaching and task execution
Handle other requests from management

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree or technical diploma in computer science, computer technology or related field
3+ years experience in software development
Strong proficiency with JavaScript and related supersets and frameworks
Knowledge of Node.js and frameworks available for it (Nest.js)
Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds
Basic understanding of server-side templating languages
Experience working with Docker / Kubernetes
Understanding accessibility and security compliance
User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
Excellent coding skills, ability to produce clean, robust and accurate code that meets the specifications
Knowledge of probability, statistics and different casino game rules is an asset
Strong understanding of the software development life cycle, analytical, problem-solving and communications skills
Experience in application and infrastructure security, particularly within the cloud
Incident handling and pragmatic operational decisions
Expertise in one or more configuration and deployment automation tools using Ansible, Terraform, Olympus or ArgoCD
Strong understanding of cloud-native operations, technologies, principles, and infrastructure as code
Understanding server-side CSS preprocessors or front-end technologies, such as HTML5 and CSS3, is a plus
Capacity for being detail-oriented, well organized and able to manage multiple projects at the same time
Experience working with Agile methodologies and JIRA is an asset
Curiosity and openness toward AI and emerging technologies, with willingness to continuously learn, adapt, share knowledge and collaborate with AI tools
