About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide a safe and welcoming environment for individuals seeking services through the CBHC
- Provide a welcoming environment for clients while in the CBHC
- Work collaboratively with clinical staff
- Assist in arranging referred services
- Ensure clients understand what is happening during the evaluation process
- Assist with communication
- Share skills useful in managing stress in the community
- Engage appropriately with clients to help identify strengths, existing supports, and community resources
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor degree preferred; other education/training/experience considered
- Personal knowledge of mental illness via lived experience with recovery
- Certification as a Peer Specialist or willingness to obtain within 6 months of employment
- Good boundaries regarding confidentiality and personal relationships
- Strong knowledge and skills regarding the recovery process
- Ability to evaluate what is needed by each individual and adjust approach accordingly
- In-depth knowledge of local resources
- Must work Full Time, 40 hours per week
- Tuesday-Friday availability from 2:00-10:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.
- Must be vaccinated against influenza as a condition of employment
