About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide day-to-day clinical oversight of the Transitional Support Services program
- Ensure quality patient care consistent with regulatory agency standards and evidence-based addiction treatment approaches
- Provide clinical supervision and crisis consultation to staff and interns
- Maintain current knowledge of evidence-based practices, including Medication Assisted Treatment for opioid use disorders
- Provide training and supervision to ensure clinical staff use evidence-based practices
- Monitor and assign caseloads as needed
- Conduct assessments and provide individual and group services to residents requiring additional support
- Review clinical program design and implement recommendations for improved client treatment with the program leadership team
- Chair weekly multidisciplinary treatment team meetings
- Discuss and develop strategies to maximize clients’ continuation and compliance in treatment
- Audit clinical documentation for adequate, timely documentation conforming to state regulations
- Participate in meetings with internal and external stakeholders and community service providers
- Review group treatment curriculum and develop new groups based on client population needs
- Maintain necessary records
- Participate in rotating weekend and after-hours on-call coverage
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master's degree in clinical psychology, mental health, psychology, rehabilitative counseling, social work, or a closely related field required
- Independent licensure preferred (LICSW, LMHC, LADC I)
- Must be on track to obtain independent licensure prior to January 1, 2028
- Two years of supervised substance use disorder counseling experience required
- At least one year of full-time equivalent clinical experience in a supervisory role required; candidates without one year of supervisory experience may be considered if independently licensed
- Ability to relate to a substance use treatment population in a sensitive manner
- Interest and willingness to work in a multicultural setting
- Customer service orientation
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
- Ability to use reason when dealing with emotional topics
- Ability to manage difficult or emotional client situations
- Ability to respond promptly to client needs and maintain confidentiality
- Must be vaccinated against influenza as a condition of employment
