About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform telephone triage and patient assessment
  • Provide clinical, technical, and clerical support for multiple healthcare providers
  • Administer immunizations, allergy injections, medications, blood and blood products
  • Perform blood draws and obtain/document height, weight, and blood pressure
  • Assist physicians with minor procedures
  • Prepare examination rooms and restock supplies
  • Process prescription refills through the electronic medical record
  • Assess patients and families, interpret health data, and make nursing-care judgments
  • Provide age-appropriate physical care, treatments, positioning, transportation, and monitoring
  • Evaluate care effectiveness and adapt plans based on patient/family response
  • Educate patients and families about illnesses, treatments, and preventive measures
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, healthcare providers, and clinical support staff to coordinate quality and continuity of care
  • Serve as a patient advocate and uphold quality nursing standards
  • Support community-based activities and demonstrate regulatory readiness and evidence-based practice

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Graduate of a state approved and/or accredited School of Nursing
  • Current RN license to practice in Massachusetts
  • Must maintain BLS certification
  • Medical Office experience is preferred
  • Ability to perform telephone triage and assessment
  • Ability to administer immunizations, allergy injections, medications, blood and blood products
  • Ability to perform blood draws and obtain/document patient vital signs
  • Ability to assist physicians with minor procedures
  • Ability to assess patients, interpret clinical data, exercise clinical judgment, and adapt care plans
  • Ability to provide age-appropriate patient care and patient/family education
  • Commitment to regulatory compliance, evidence-based practice, and lifelong learning
