About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work collaboratively as a member of the treatment team to ensure a safe, therapeutic treatment environment
  • Assist with admitting, discharging, and transferring patients while addressing safety and monitoring valuables
  • Provide supportive, respectful, non-judgmental care to adult clients and assist with treatment-plan goals
  • Perform case management duties, including one-on-one client contact, team meetings, collaboration with service providers, and referral follow-up
  • Liaise with inpatient facilities, case managers, psychiatrists, therapists, clinicians, agencies, and families
  • Participate in treatment team meetings and assist with care-plan development
  • Report shift issues, observed symptoms, reactions, treatments, and changes in patient safety status to the Nurse
  • Promote effective teamwork and harmonious working relationships
  • Adapt to workplace changes while delivering effective client care

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field required
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to develop a therapeutic relationship while maintaining professional boundaries
  • Must be vaccinated against influenza (flu) as a condition of employment
