About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide basic patient care under the supervision and direction of a Registered Nurse
- Provide for patients’ personal needs, comfort, and safety
- Perform technical, therapeutic, administrative tasks, and trained procedures
- Participate as a multi-skilled caregiver on the patient care team
- Measure vital signs, height and weight, and oxygen saturation
- Report unusual observations to the nurse
- Collect specimens for analysis
- Record and measure intake and output
- Provide personal care and assist with daily activities
- Perform basic clinical procedures independently or under RN supervision
- Assist with nutritional needs, order room service, set up meal trays, and feed patients
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to read/write and perform basic 4 function math
- Basic computer skills (preferred)
- Medical terminology (preferred)
- Basic Life Support certification (BLS) required within 90 days of hire
- CNA Certification preferred but not required upon hire
- Must be vaccinated against influenza (flu) as a condition of employment
