About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide basic care activities and attend to patients’ personal needs, comfort, and safety
  • Assist with delivery of patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse
  • Perform trained technical, therapeutic, and administrative tasks and procedures
  • Participate as a multi-skilled caregiver on the patient care team
  • Measure vital signs, height, weight, and oxygen saturation
  • Report unusual observations to the nurse
  • Collect specimens for analysis
  • Record and measure intake and output
  • Provide personal care and assist with daily activities
  • Perform basic clinical procedures independently or under RN supervision
  • Assist with nutritional needs, including ordering room service, setting up meal trays, and feeding

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to read/write and perform basic 4 function math
  • Desire to help people and/or have aspirations of becoming a healthcare professional
  • Basic computer skills (preferred)
  • Medical terminology (preferred)
  • Basic Life Support certification (BLS) required within 90 days of hire
  • CNA Certification preferred but not required upon hire
