About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide basic patient care under the supervision and direction of a Registered Nurse
Provide for patients' personal needs, comfort, and safety
Perform technical, therapeutic, administrative tasks, and trained procedures
Participate in a patient care team as a multi-skilled caregiver
Measure vital signs, height, weight, and oxygen saturation
Report unusual observations to the nurse
Collect specimens for analysis
Record and measure intake and output
Provide personal care and assist with daily activities
Perform basic clinical procedures independently or under RN supervision
Meet nutritional needs by assisting with or ordering room service, setting up meal trays, and feeding patients

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma or equivalent required
Ability to read/write and perform basic 4 function math
Desire to help people and/or have aspirations of becoming a healthcare professional
Basic computer skills (preferred)
Medical terminology (preferred)
Basic Life Support certification (BLS) required within 90 days of hire
CNA Certification preferred but not required upon hire
Every other weekend, every other holiday
Must be vaccinated against influenza (flu) as a condition of employment
