About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide direct geriatric patient mental health care services
Conduct comprehensive geriatric psychiatric evaluations
Provide psychopharmacology management
Diagnose, treat, and manage medications for patients with behavioral health and comorbid issues, including dementia
Teach patients and caregivers how to manage illnesses and provide supportive care
Work closely with the LICSW team conducting initial behavioral health intakes and individual therapy follow-up
Report to the medical director/geriatric psychiatrist for clinical supervision
Report to the Administrative Director for non-clinical issues
Primarily work at the Lahey Outpatient Center in Danvers, with coverage as needed at Addison Gilbert Hospital in Gloucester

Requirements

What you’ll need

Graduate of a Master’s Program in Nursing or Physician Assistant program
Current NP or PA license in the state of Massachusetts
Experience with issues of aging, geriatric medicine, and geriatric syndromes, including different forms of dementia is ideal
Comfortable working with behavioral health patients and the geriatric population
Team player
Must be vaccinated against influenza as a condition of employment

Base hourly wage of $54.70–$74.40
Additional compensation may include shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, and overtime pay
