About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead actions to grow company sales and distribution in the assigned Northeast territory
  • Serve as customer’s trusted advisor and single point of contact for all Cantrell-Gainco products
  • Manage a sales mix of 70% new business and 30% account management
  • Acquire clients and set appointments with key executives and plant personnel
  • Cultivate key relationships at every level of customer operations
  • Build and maintain a diverse sales funnel
  • Deliver excellent customer experience and satisfaction
  • Achieve territory revenue, capital equipment bookings, aftermarket revenue growth, service agreement penetration, pipeline value, funnel health, customer acquisition, and forecast accuracy targets
  • Execute growth sales strategies, tactics, and action plans
  • Cultivate opportunities for capital equipment, service agreements, parts sales, rebuilds, customer training, and service labor
  • Maintain frequent onsite presence at customer plants
  • Work with pricing, marketing, and product teams on tenders, sales and marketing campaigns, product plans, and contracting plans
  • Contribute to revenue and business planning and monitor processes and best practices
  • Partner with clients to understand and proactively deliver on business needs and objectives
  • Communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations
  • Collect market intelligence and provide feedback to marketing
  • Forecast future sales and adapt sales plans to marketplace changes
  • Proactively solve internal and external business problems

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong background of regional B2B sales experience
  • Poultry processing industry experience preferred
  • Experience selling in a highly technical, production environment
  • Experience using CRM software suites such as Dynamics or Salesforce
  • Strong analytical skill set
  • Highly motivated with a track record of exceeding targets
  • Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
  • Proven ability to instigate the sales process with consistent appointment setting
  • Proven ability to articulate the value proposition of distinct aspects of products and services
  • Proven ability to position products against competitors
  • Demonstrable experience developing client-focused, differentiated, and achievable solutions
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Extensive customer-facing travel, typically 3-4 days per week, within the assigned territory
  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening
  • Must provide documentation of eligibility to work in the US (I-9 form)
