About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of secure and scalable IT infrastructure and external integrations
- Ensure high availability, performance, and security across all systems
- Oversee enterprise cloud platforms and services, including Microsoft 365 and AWS
- Manage vendor relationships and licensing agreements
- Oversee provisioning and lifecycle management of hardware, software, and user access
- Establish and maintain business continuity, backup, and disaster recovery strategies
- Ensure timely and effective support for internal and external users
- Implement systems and tools that enhance employee productivity and security
- Coordinate system enhancements, product maintenance and support, upgrades, updates, and patches
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align IT strategy with organizational goals
- Evaluate, select, and implement internal tools and systems
- Drive automation and process improvement opportunities
- Develop technology roadmaps for infrastructure modernization, cloud services, cybersecurity, and end-user computing
- Evaluate emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, automation platforms, and workflow optimization tools
- Lead, mentor, and develop information technology staff
- Develop team structure, performance goals, and professional development paths
- Foster accountability, continuous improvement, and service excellence
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, PCI, and organizational data governance requirements
- Recommend, draft, and update IT standard operating procedures
- Support audits, risk management initiatives, cybersecurity insurance requirements, and incident response planning
- Manage the Infrastructure Manager, Integration Manager, and Service Desk Analyst roles
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- 8+ years of progressive experience in IT, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership or director-level role
- Proven experience managing enterprise IT infrastructure and internal support operations
- Experience leading cloud-based technology environments, including Microsoft 365 and AWS
- Experience supporting regulated healthcare environments and compliance frameworks such as HIPAA
- Experience managing technology vendors, software licensing, professional services relationships, and technology budgets
- Strong leadership and people management skills; experience building and mentoring high-performing teams
- Solid understanding of ITIL practices, cybersecurity, and systems integration
- Server administration and cloud engineering experience, preferably with AWS
- Experience administering and governing Microsoft 365 technologies, including Microsoft Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Intune
- Experience with identity and access management, Zero Trust security principles, MFA, conditional access, and endpoint management
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
- Experience utilizing Confluence and Jira for document management, project management, and ticketing
- Experience administering enterprise identity and access management platforms, including Okta and Microsoft Entra ID, with responsibility for SSO, MFA, user provisioning, lifecycle management, conditional access, and application integration
- Experience implementing AI-enabled productivity solutions such as Microsoft Copilot and related governance practices
- Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards, such as HL7 and FHIR APIs
