About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and execute a recruiting strategy to build a new diverse and inclusive engineering team
Lead architectural decisions and roadmap delivery for web and lead API acquisition efforts
Work with the leadership team to produce and deliver the engineering roadmap
Mentor engineers and sponsor them for projects that deliver the best product while growing their skillsets
Identify and promote engineering best practices
Advise leadership on technical feasibility and implications of product decisions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience managing engineering teams
5+ years of experience building and deploying scalable applications in the cloud
Experience with Ruby on Rails
Expertise in scoping large projects and initiatives into small iterations for release
Clear and efficient communication skills
Mentorship skills and the ability to give well-crafted constructive feedback
Startup environment experience preferred, not required
