About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage and expand business with existing and new customers by developing opportunities in new markets, prospecting for new customers, and identifying new applications.
  • Lead commercial negotiations with customers and suppliers, including pricing, volumes, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial terms, to achieve sales, margin, and profitability targets.
  • Work closely with international suppliers to develop and introduce new products by identifying customer needs, assessing technical and commercial feasibility, and supporting qualification and approval processes.
  • Coordinate new business and product development projects between customers and suppliers, monitoring samples, technical evaluations, testing, approvals, commercial terms, and launch schedules.
  • Manage contracts and commercial agreements while monitoring commercial, financial, tax, regulatory, and operational risks.
  • Support the import and logistics of chemical products by coordinating purchase orders, production, shipments, transportation, documentation, deliveries, and inventory.
  • Negotiate and monitor international shipments, including prices, quantities, schedules, Incoterms, and freight terms.
  • Prepare commercial proposals, quotations, presentations, sales forecasts, and business analyses; follow up on purchase orders and negotiations.
  • Monitor sales, volumes, margins, inventory, forecasts, and other performance indicators, taking corrective action when necessary.
  • Develop long-term relationships with customers and suppliers through meetings, visits, calls, and ongoing follow-up.
  • Collaborate with Logistics, Import and Export, Finance, Tax, Regulatory Affairs, and other internal departments.
  • Monitor market trends, competitors, prices, demand, and new applications, identifying opportunities for expansion.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in B2B sales and/or business development, preferably in the chemicals, specialty chemicals, industrial materials, distribution, or trading sectors.
  • Experience managing relationships with customers and suppliers, including commercial negotiations involving pricing, volumes, payment terms, delivery schedules, and profitability.
  • Knowledge of import processes, international logistics, shipments, Incoterms, and coordination with freight forwarders and logistics providers.
  • Experience supporting the development, introduction, or qualification of new products in collaboration with customers and suppliers.
  • Ability to analyze sales performance indicators.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and business relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Logistics, Import and Export, Finance, Tax, Regulatory Affairs, and other internal departments.
  • Advanced English proficiency, with the ability to conduct meetings and negotiations and communicate in writing with international suppliers.
  • Proficiency in BI tools and CRM systems, as well as Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Availability for business travel and customer visits.
