About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code for complex client/server enterprise applications
Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications
Collaborate with team members, teams, and stakeholders on feature design and product direction
Work with Quality Assurance personnel to create test cases and documentation
Communicate problems, risks, and issues with peers and managers
Provide thorough documentation for development work
Interact with technical support and potentially customers to troubleshoot and resolve issues
Scope assigned projects/tasks and provide accurate time estimates
Investigate, troubleshoot, and triage complex code-related technical issues
Gather product feedback, implement code fixes, and build patches
Build, package, sign, and release appliance images and software updates for on-premises and cloud deployments
Deploy and maintain cloud infrastructure, including compute, DNS, storage, and key management

Requirements

What you’ll need

5 or more years of software development experience
Proficient with the entire Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
Extensive knowledge working in Unix/Linux environments
Experience with Python and PHP
Experience with Laravel or a comparable MVC framework
Experience maintaining large legacy code
Hands-on experience with AWS, including EC2, Route 53, S3, IAM, and KMS
Experience with database design and administration
Unit testing experience
Experience using Agile methodologies
Solid understanding of modern design patterns
Experience with the full lifecycle of development, including product release in an agile environment
Good understanding of network security and encryption
Solid English written and verbal communication, presentation, and people skills
Experience working on an Agile team in a continuous integration and development environment
