About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Define and maintain a prioritized cloud operations program roadmap
Facilitate intake and prioritization across application, security, compliance, and infrastructure stakeholders
Maintain authoritative views of in-flight and upcoming work, ownership, dependencies, and target dates
Resolve priority conflicts and make trade-offs explicit
Translate business and technical requirements into cloud transformation roadmaps and architectural guidance
Assess incident, change, request, escalation, and on-call workflows for improvement opportunities
Lead process improvement initiatives from current-state analysis through rollout and adoption tracking
Identify and champion automation opportunities that reduce manual toil
Drive DevOps practices, automated CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code adoption
Implement and maintain cloud and infrastructure observability strategies for distributed systems
Define standard operating procedures, runbooks, and intake paths
Establish and drive accountability for operational health metrics
Work with scrum teams, clarify scope, remove blockers, and represent operational requirements in sprint planning
Interface between Cloud Operations and application teams to manage dependencies, service expectations, and handoffs
Build executive-level reporting on program status, risks, decisions, and outcomes
Facilitate steering committees, working sessions, post-incident reviews, and retrospectives
Surface risks, resourcing gaps, and misalignment with recommended options
Own program plans, milestones, RAID logs, and change control across concurrent initiatives
Track benefits realization and connect completed work to operational or financial outcomes
Ensure security, compliance, audit, and change management requirements are met
Manage vendor and partner engagements supporting cloud operations programs

Requirements

What you’ll need

7+ years of program or project management experience
3+ years managing complex, cross-functional technology programs
Experience supporting or working directly with infrastructure, cloud, or IT operations teams
Working fluency with AWS, Azure, or GCP
Hands-on experience in Agile/Scrum environments, including backlog and sprint planning
Proven track record of leading process improvement initiatives with measurable, documented outcomes
Experience with ITSM practices and tooling such as ServiceNow or Jira Service Management across incident, problem, and change management
Strong executive communication skills
Ability to influence and align stakeholders without direct authority
Preferred: Cloud certification such as AWS Solutions Architect/SysOps, Azure Administrator, or equivalent
Preferred: Background in a regulated environment with audit and compliance exposure
Preferred: Experience driving automation or tooling integration programs
Preferred: Familiarity with FinOps and cloud cost optimization
Systems thinking, clarity, operational judgment, written communication, and follow-through
